Kym Clark joined the Action News 5 team on June 20th, 1988 as a general assignments reporter, but has since climbed the ranks within the station to become an Emmy award winning morning and noon news anchor. Kym has interviewed numerous people throughout her tenure at WMC TV 5…but her favorites are Bill Clinton and Oprah Winfrey. Kym enjoys visiting and speaking at area schools and other functions such as the Harbor Town Dog Show which she has been MC for 10 years…she is also a board member for the DeNeuville Learning Center and a mentor for Families of Incarcerated Individuals.
George “GK” Klein is a disc jockey and television host. He met Elvis Presley in the eighth grade at Humes High School in North Memphis, and they became lifelong friends, until Presley’s death in 1977. He has an unpublished recording of Elvis Presley and Carl Perkins singing “Blue Suede Shoes”. Klein can be heard weekly on SiriusXM channel 19 Elvis Radio, and on the George Klein Original Elvis Hour on WKQK FM and Sirius XM Elvis Radio.
Meteorologist, News Personality, Andrew Kozak of WMC Action News 5 will be this years auctioneer. He earned the Television Seal of Approval from the American Meteorological Society in April 2009 and is an active member of the National Weather Association. Andrew gained some national and international notoriety by hand-drawing the entire morning show weather forecast after the computer critically malfunctioned. His “Kickin’ It Old-School Forecast” was featured on several programs and stations including Anderson Cooper and CNN International.
Jack Kenner loves to photographs dogs and wildlife. In 1970, he photographed his first dog, a champion Saluki, for a client. And he has traveled the globe photographing endangered species to educate the public about the beauty of animals both large and small. In 2007, his West Highland Terriers – Winston and Murphy – changed his life when he photographed them in the dishwasher, which launched his work around the country capturing color and black & white images of our canine friends and their families.
‘Hey Now’ Ron Olson grew up in the great city of Memphis (he never left). Ron graduated from Oakhaven High School and the University of Memphis, where he got his start in radio. Ron is a radio junkie…loves it big time. He is married (sorry girls) and has a beautiful daughter named Jessica. His wife Vicki and daughter Jessica are a constant source of material for his show. Ron loves fishing, golfing, Tigers basketball, having fun on the radio and the Humane Society. He is always full of energy and ready to get things done. He gets it.
Singer/songwriter Barbara Blue belts the blues on record and at clubs and festivals all around the world. Performing gritty urban blues and smoky Memphis soul her voice and presentation has been compared to Etta James and Janis Joplin. Blue makes her home base on historic Beale Street in Memphis where she performs five nights a week. She has released nine acclaimed recordings backed by word class musicians.
